Name

Irish Rain Photography really began on January 3, 2004. At the time, we had been living in Ireland for six months and had already fallen in love with the landscapes and people of Ireland. We were quickly discovering our love for the camera and were desperate to share our new home with our friends and family in the USA. So, long before we knew what a ‘blog’ was, we created an online journal. The website required us to name our journal.... that was a task that was harder than you would imagine....

Each morning I would sit for hours at our kitchen table looking out at the sea, watching the clouds and the waves of rain roll in off the sea and dramatically change the landscape around me. It was truly beautiful. It was sitting there looking at the rain that we decided to name our website “Irish Rain - our online journal of all the random things that blow into our lives”. It was not until years later that we decided to become Irish Rain Photography.

Our little journal is now in its seventh year... I don’t know what all is in store for us this year, but we want to thank you for taking the time to check in with us...!
