Taking The Plunge...

I did something this weekend that I have been wanting to do for a while now. I joined a hiking club. For years now I have been talking about it... but the need to exercise (aka train for the Camino next spring) and meet new people finally pushed to do it. There are a lot of great hiking clubs here in Dublin and it can be competitive to get one of the limited spots on the hikes... but I was able to join one yesterday. The club is called "the challenge hikers".... but I didn't realize just how much of a challenge it would be! We had a great hike up a mountain, but most of the hike was over bog (with its giant sink holes) and through thick brush/heather. The group did live up to the name "challenge".... BUT the people were awesome and I loved the whole experience! I'm scheduled to go out again this next weekend!
