I got away for a few hours last Friday. I worked half a day and then jumped into my car and headed south to the Wicklow Mountains. I couldn't get there fast enough. I needed to get away. I needed in my very soul to be in the sunshine and wilderness. I needed to pray. I needed to think. I needed to have fun. The day was too beautiful to spend inside... thankfully, I was able to get out for a few hours of glorious sunshine. The end of the day produced the most magnificent sunset. To be honest - I thought that I was going to miss it. I was in my car, and I was stuck behind a very slow tourist. I knew the perfect spot to watch the sunset... but I was certain that it would be over by the time I got there. To my complete surprise - I rounded a corner and discovered the most amazing sunset. I honestly have not seen one so magnificent in years. I quickly parked my car and jumped out with my camera. The sunset seemed to last forever. I took photo after photo as I hiked further and further up a small hill. The sunset lasted SO long that I even started taking selfies by putting the camera on a rock and setting a timer (something I never do). In the end - I came away with a lot of photos that I really like... and several selfies that I don't think are too bad. The only problem is that I can't pick the one that I like the most. Any thoughts?
